COMBINED TRADITIONAL CHINESE AND WESTERN MEDICINE SCLEROSING THERAPY IN INTERNAL HEMORRHOIDS

<正> Implementing Chairman Mao's in-struction"In medical and health work,putthe stress on the rural areas,"we carriedout mass examination and treatment ofanal diseases in Tsaitsun Commune in thespring of 1971.The work was done underthe leadership of the Commune PartyCommittee with the help of the productionbrigades' barefoot doctors.Of 8,000 peas-ants examined,2,000 were found to haveanal diseases,internal hemorrhoids ac-counting for 71%.The poor and lower-middle peasants' suffering and urgentdemand for treatment moved us to find anew method of efficiently dealing withinternal hemorrhoids.
