Ethnic Identity of the Inhabitants of the Rusyn-Slovak Borderland before 1930s

Article is about the ethnic identity of the inhabitants of the Rusyn-Slovak borderland. Due to the unique nature of the border of local dialects and folk culture transitional Rusyn-Slovak group had an opportunity to take both the East and West Slavic identity. In fact, different identity appealed to conflicting linguistic characteristics, which are interpreted in different ways. However, only the East Slavic identity also relied on the confessional or ritual features of the transition of the population.
