DEVELOPMENT IN THE MULTIPLE-BEAM X-RAY BONE DENSITOMETRY

摘要：
On very comprehensive way is shown development of the third generation multiple beam X-ray densitometer QDR(R)-2000 which uses multiple beam scanning combining fan X-ray beam and multiple detectors for regional and total body bone mineral assessment. There are given the main technical characteristics and principles of densitometer's function which have possibilities of scanning with graphical display. The lumbar spine scanning as well as possibility of measuring repeating is described. This type of densitometer is significantly improved decreasing measuring time so whole body scanning can be performed in time less than 210 s.
