摘要
We consider Cherenkov radiation emitted by neutral particles with a non-zero magnetic and/or electric dipole moment. As an application we estimate the number of photons generated by the solar neutrino flux in water. With an effective neutrino magnetic moment of 10(-10) mu(B) around 50 photons in the range of visible light would be produced per day in a volume of 1 km3.
