Experiments were conducted with a shrouded array of interrupted fins with and without crossflow of air across the test section. The parameters varied during the steady-state experiments were the blowing rate and power input. Friction factors and turbulence intensities were determined for both continuous and interrupted configurations. Average heat transfer coefficients and fin efficiencies were also determined and conclusions made regarding the influence of crossflow on the pressure drop and heat transfer rate of the interrupted fins.
