摘要
The paper seeks to examine the complexity of organisational learning, in particular, what is the relationship between collective learning and the development of work practices. The paper suggests that, through the use and development of artefacts, one can mediate this activity, which is a key for understanding learning and work practices. Artefacts reveal the dynamic nature of learning by providing explanations as to why learning is a political and social process. The contention of this paper is that artefacts are deeply embedded in social interactions and, as such the authors set out to explore their role within learning processes.
