摘要
It was carried out a nutritional assessment with weight lifters at a fitness center in Santa Maria, RS. Such study has a transversal character, with nutritional assessment of 27 individuals (89% male sex) who made use of nutritional supplements. The data were evaluated using descriptive statistics. The anthropometric results showed that the percentage of fat was high related to women (24.93 +/- 0.12) and men (18.17 +/- 2.98). The main objective of using the supplements compounded by amino acid, it is the muscle hypertrophy. Concerning the qualitative it was shown up the high consumption of eggs and a deficit of calcium. The participants neither follow an appropriate orientation of supplements nor eat adequately.
