Social responsibility in the university management. A collective construction

The research proposes to configure a theoretical conceptual system to substantiate the social responsibility as a core process in the university management. The theoretical support is based on the principles of Albornoz (1999), Guedez (2003) and Utria (2002). The theoretical construction is achieved by following the methodology of grounded theory from Strauss and Corbin (2002:13); from social actors' systematized data. Among the conclusions: a) the necessity to make the university structure more flexible in order to get it closer to the social realities and b) to assume an ethical behavior that becomes tangible through the basic functions-
