DETERMINATION OF THE HEAT-TRANSFER COEFFICIENT IN FLUIDIZED-BED INSTALLATIONS

The heat-transfer capacity of a fluidized bed can differ substantially in consequence of a change of the grain-size distribution and of the physicochemical properties of the charge, the nature and parameters of the draft, etc. Since these changes cannot be predicted, the heat-treatment technology is more or less disregarded. The diagnostics* of the heat-transfer capacity of a fluidized bed is therefore an indispensable condition of improving the quality of heat treatment.
