摘要：
Infrared diffuse reflectance spectra of wood and some component wood polymers as well as benzoic acid are compared with the corresponding spectra taken in transmittance using KBr disks. Anomalous changes in intensities of certain peaks as well as wavenumber shifts of some strong absorptions are observed in the DRIFT spectra. The cause of these anomalous features is believed to be the presence of specular reflectance. Various experimental methods for rectifying this problem, such as sample preparation, dilution in inert matrices, etc. are discussed.
