摘要
An expedition in 1990 discovered an estimated 47 new species, of which 30 are described here: Boucardicus antsahanori sp. n., B. clarae sp. n., B. fuscolabrus sp. n., B. harananae sp. n., B. luciae sp. n., B. pachychilus sp. n., B. pupisomus sp. n., B. ranomafanae sp. n., B. scopulus sp. n., Cyathopoma damoclesi sp. n., Cyathopoma ranomafanae sp. n., Cyclotus (Millotorbis) uncopercula sp. n., Madecataulus kylei sp. n., Malarinia calcopercula sp. n., Streptostele (Makrokonche) subgen. n. manumbensis sp. n., Pilula harananae sp. n., P. talatai sp. n., P. vatuvavyae sp. n., Ctenophila griffithsi sp. n., Microcystis ambinanifae sp. n., M. kremenae sp. n., M. platysma sp. n., M. sahavondrononae sp. n., M. viaregina sp. n., Kalidos manumboensis sp. n., Malagarion andampibei, sp. n., M. andranomenae sp. n., M. antalahae sp. n., M. microstriolatus sp n., and Sitala patwrightae sp. n. In addition, three previously described species are illustrated: a gerontic shell of Hainesia crocea (G. B. Sowerby, 1847), the animal of Kaliella barrakporensis (Pfeiffer, 1852), and an adult shell of Trochonanina tulearensis Fischer-Piette, Blanc & Vukodinovic, 1974. Most of the new species are minute or small in size, suggesting that the ''micro'' component of the Madagascan malacofauna is highly diverse and underexplored.
