摘要
The correlation between two biological techniques for the assay of specific serum IgE of pyroglyphid acarids (D. pteronyssinus) and grass pollens (phleole) was studied in 60 children aged between 7 months and 18 years, 21 girls and 59 boys. Regarding acarids, among 72 evaluable results there were 33 positive PTC, 36 CSRR and 34 ML. Among the 4 patients with discordant results, 3 had false negative PTC because of the use of anti-degranulating drugs. Overall, concordances was perfect for CSRR and ML, class by class, in 63 % of cases. In 23 % of cases, the response was higher, on average by one class, for CSRR while the reverse applied to ML in 4 cases. Regarding pollens, there were 20 positive PTC, 19 CSRR and 18 ML. In 3 cases, PTC were negative while either CSRR or ML were positive, but the diagnosis of pollen allergy was made only once, while in the other two cases clinical data led to the conclusion of false positive << in vitro >> tests (1 ML and 1 CSRR). In the 22 cases in which a diagnosis of grass pollen allergy was finally made, results of the two techniques for assay of specific anti-phleole pollen IgE were in agreement, class by class, in 16 instances, i.e. 76 % of patients. It may be concluded that with 63 % class by class agreement for acarids and 76 % for pollens, the correlation between the two methods was excellent, the slightly higher response for CSRR and slightly lower for ML in no way interfering with the diagnostic process.
