Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) is an information system designed to manage all the processes of an organization, allowing and facilitating decision making from a global point of view, of the organization as a whole, and not only from a point of view. departmental view. Therefore, this type of systems becomes a key factor in organizations. Of course, not all ERPs are suitable for all organizations, and it is very important that each organization implement the ERP system that is most appropriate to its processes and characteristics. To do this, establishing and following a selection process is fundamental. However, many of the criteria can be considered, and it is very complex to take them into account. There are different studies that deal with the process for the selection of ERP systems. In this paper, we present the methodology MSERP for the selection of an ERP system suitable for a Spanish SME, for which, a serie of steps based on the existing literature and the experience of different experts in the sector.
