摘要
This article deals with the production of representations concerning musical spreading by radio broadcasting in Belem do Para in the 1940's and the 1950's. The representations in focus were historically given birth by the press discourses' and by the memory of musicians who played a part in the musical scene of the so-called "radio era". The research focuses on the idea of "local color", namely, the regional uniqueness of the musical diffusion performed in town in the midst of the 20th century. The idea of a regional musical scene was developed in the shadow of the big radio stations based on the country's southeast, influenced by the radio and records' singers. The study approaches the intersection between the dynamic of local music production/diffusion and its external influences (by radio and records).
