摘要
Switchgear and related systems are being optimized to improve their cost-effectiveness and reliability. This trend is supported by the introduction of diagnostic and monitoring systems that make it possible to provide information on irregularities, faults, ageing and wear. In addition, the author foresees that application areas will expand to include higher currents and voltages, and that super-conducting current limiters will be available by the end of the decade.
