摘要：

This article is devoted to examination of new methodological approaches to the Cold War studies in the whole and the specifics of the research of its ending. The considerable attention is paid to the conception of triumphalism in foreign scientific literature on the international events of 1989-1991 as well as to the discussions in Russian historiography, particularly, about the continuation of the Cold War at present.
