Correlating Self-Efficacy and Lifestyle with Quality of Life among Adolescent Mothers

摘要
This study aimed to determine whether perceived self-efficacy and healthy lifestyle behaviors were associated with global quality of life in adolescent mothers. Sixty-two participants completed the General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES), the Health-Promoting Lifestyle Profile II (HPLP-II), and the Cantril's Self-Anchoring Striving Scale (Cantril's Ladder) that measures global quality of life. The results indicated moderate to high correlations between the GSES and the Cantril's Ladder as well as between the HPLP-II and the Cantril's Ladder. The study yielded evidence supporting the importance of interventions that promote self-efficacy and healthy lifestyle as they relate to quality of life of adolescent mothers.
