摘要：
The problem considered is that of the torsion of a finite elastic cylinder which is embedded in an elastic medium of different shear modulus. By the use of integral transforms and the theory of dual integral equations, the problem is reduced to that of solving a Fredholm integral equation of the second kind. Numerical results have been displayed graphically.
