摘要：
The author presents the novel Un tico en La Mancha (A tico in La Mancha) by Sergio Barrantes Elizondo. This novel describes basic structures and literature values found in Quixote as well as in other masterpieces written by Cervantes. The article concludes with a comment related with the purpose of the novel and Costa Rican identity.
