摘要：

The article deals with established since the 1980s theoretical-methodological approaches, which allowed to develop the holistic concept of the US political history in the late XIX - early XX centuries in the Soviet historiography. The author sums up the results of the study of this problem in modern American studies over the past two decades in the conditions of growing interdisciplinary pluralism.
