THE ELASTIC (P)OVER-BAR-P DIFFERENTIAL CROSS-SECTION MEASUREMENTS AT THE CERN SP(P)OVER-BAR-S AND THE REAL PART OF THE SCATTERING-AMPLITUDE

摘要：

The experimental data of the ($) over bar pp, differential cross section in the energy range root s = 541-546 GeV at the CERN Sp $($) over bar$$ pS including the recent precise UA4/2 experiment in the Coulomb interference region are analyzed to obtain information on the real part of the scattering amplitude at the whole region of the momentum transfer of the experimental data points. We make a fit to the experimental data by using the real part of the scattering amplitude given by the derivative dispersion relation (DDR). We obtained rho=0.120(-0.003)(+0.017) for the ratio of the real part to the imaginary part of the forward scattering amplitude.
