摘要
The organizations of health fulfill a social mission to satisfy the needs of health of the population that they are destined to attend. To reach that objective, the institutions above mentioned need of the endowment of human resources and suitable and specialized materials for such an end. At this juncture, the endowment of nursing human resources in Barquisimeto's hospitals turns into an organizational necessity. This article aims to generate a proposal to get that endowment to ensure effective, efficient and opportune care to the population attending to the hospitable centers of major complexity in Barquisimeto, Lara State. This is a qualitative research approach; the key informants formed focal groups, participating in discussions that generated the information for the study. The results show that the nursing staff feels that they are fundamental axis of the functioning of these health care centers; nevertheless, they are not satisfied by the number of nurse by patient and the way this personnel is calculated. It is concluded that a suitable endowment of nursing staff ensures quality cares to the usurious as well as a satisfactory fulfillment of the organizational mission of the sanitary institution.
