摘要
This paper deals with the origin of English law as from the Norman conquest of the 11th century, in which official centralisation gradually changes and provides uniformity to the sundry legal institutions, this fact leading to the creation of what is commonly called "common law", additionally supplemented later by another system called "equity". Along the following centuries one of the great present legal systems is thus gradually created, in which the importance of the jury and precedent is to be highlighted.
