摘要
Short laser pump pulses, of the order of 5-10 ps, will be required for expansion cooled recombination XUV lasers to progress to shorter wavelengths. This paper describes an experiment that was carried out at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory to test the feasibility of using the Chirped Pulse Amplification (CPA) technique, on VULCAN, to extend its capabilities to shorter pulse lengths.
