MEMOPORT - A SIMPLE DATA-TRANSMISSION CONCEPT WITH MAXIMUM SECURITY

The Memoport system was designed to meet the increasing demands of commercial data transmission. The system collects data from the periphery in off-line mode and transmits them to a central receiver via the telephone network. The chosen solution with series data transmission via a unidirectional acoustic coupler and telephone set provides high data security and system availability despite the poor transmission characteristics of telephone microphones and long telegrams without intermediate acknowledgement.
