THE SPATIAL-TEMPORAL DISTRIBUTION OF MAGNETIC-FIELDS OF LASER-PRODUCED PLASMA

摘要
The structure is considered of magnetic fields generated by laser-produced plasma upon exposure of solid targets to radiation pulses of moderate intensity. It is shown that the temporal shape of a magnetic field pulse is practically independent of the radiation energy but is governed strongly by the place of probing: temporal characteristics of the field increase with the growth in the distance to the focusing spot. An influence has been found of the target material conductivity upon the spatial distribution of magnetic fields. Dependences have been obtained of the maximal magnetic field amplitude inside and outside closed claddings upon the pressure of the medium surrounding the target and upon the size of the focusing spot.
