Lecythis barnebyi Mori sp. nov. and Corythophora amapaensis Pires ex Mori et Prance sp. nov. are described and the following new combinations are coined: L. brancoensis (Chytroma brancoensis R. Kunth), L. schwackei (Sapucaya schwackei R. Kunth) L. alutacea Eschweilera alutacea A.C. Smith), L. lurida (E. lurida Miers), L. holcognye (E. holcogyne Sandwith), L. corrugata Poiteau ssp. rosea (L. rosea Spruce ex Berg) Mori, and Corythophora labriculata (E. labriculata Eyma).
