摘要
A local approximation to the softness kernel is used to derive an expression for the static-density linear response function in terms of local and nonlocal components that are proportional to the fukui function and the global softness. This relation is applied to the case of a uniform electric field to show that the static dipole polarizability has a linear dependence on the global softness. © 1990, American Chemical Society.
