摘要
The contribution makes it it's task to identify the changes in individual segments of the economy leading to the revival of the Slovak economy. Primarily, it concentrates upon the supply side of the economy and, if it is unavoidable, upon the changes in the use of the product created. National economy development analysis related to the first half df 1994 compared to the first half of 1993 - forming the basis of the contribution presented - showed that the ongoing process of economic revival is different in individual segments of the economy. Growth tendencies are explicitely revealed in the sector of services and in the retail enterprise sector. In industry the revival is disputable for the time being. Real development of its gross turn-over has just approached the limits of growth (which is in a certain contradiction to the presented value of 4.5 % growth of goods production in industry). Evident revival is identified in the fundamental industrial section, i.e. manufacturing industry in the framework of which the revival has got a relatively wide basis (real growth was recorded in 12 out of 22 industries, their share of the total industrial output being 58.4 %). Agriculture and construction continued in further decline of their production. The ongoing process of economic revival and its way to a steady growth is conditioned by overcoming the continuing decrease of the investment activity and by compensating the after-effects of devaluation (that, in the pursued period of time, have shown an outstanding influence upon the development of the industrial output exporting sector) by an effective pro-exporting and industrial policy.
