The LST-cut of quartz has better frequency-temperature stability than the conventional ST-cut. In this paper, theoretical temperature dependence of the center frequency and insertion loss of SAW filters on LST-cut quartz is compared with experimental results. Theoretical values including effect of the metallization thickness are in very good agreement with experiments. It is found by theoretical calculation that minimum temperature frequency shift and change of insertion loss are exhibited. These results should be applicable for practical temperature stable LST-cut SAW filters.
