摘要
Experience in the operation of a hopper-slide type of bell-less charging gear fitted with hydraulic drives for the valves is described, and improvements made in the drive system and the mechanisms involved are considered. The effectiveness of the improvements has been proved by subsequent operation. Among the benefits is greater scope for diagnosing faults and assessing the condition of the drive and mechanisms.
