摘要
Two icosahedral Fe60Cu40 and Fe85Cu15 phases were formed in FeCu alloy films after ion mixing(IM) and solid state inter-diffusion(SSI), respectively. Upon thermal annealing, the IM icosahedral phase decomposed at about 300°C, however, the icosahedral order re-established when the temperature was elevated to about 800°C. The re-establishment of icosahedral order was in accordance with high temperature SSI result. Besides, the magnetic properties also experienced a sharp change during a crystal-to-quasicrystal phase transition. © 1990.
