摘要：
This paper describes an expert system for defect location in an integrated circuit board assembly. The expert system known as BITES (Board Inspection and Training Expert System) is designed with two purposes: (1) automation of the inspection process performed by groups of inspectors or quality control technicians; and (2) for use as a training tool for new inspectors.
