THE SECOND VATICAN COUNCIL: THE CONCLAVE THAT CHANGED THE ROADS OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH

This article aims to reflect on the significance of Vatican II, which occurred between 1962 and 1965, based on the new responses of the Church against the ecumenical ideology and the relationship of this with the contemporary world. Thus, to achieve the proposed scope, we describe the main facts of the four sessions of the Council, addressing us on the documents produced by the Conclave, as the "Nostra Aetate" and "Gaudium et Spes," texts that synthesize the new guidelines adopted by Catholic Church.
