EFFECT OF OPERATIVE TRAUMA ON THE POSTOPERATIVE COURSE IN PATIENTS WITH DUODENAL-ULCER

The effect of various types of operative interventions on the course of the early post-operative period was studied in 419 patients with duodenal ulcer. The blood biochemical values and hemodynamic parameters were studied. The indications for operation were absolute in 128 and relative in 291 patients. It was established that under conditions of a specialized medical institution the negative aspects of surgical treatment of duodenal ulcer may be brought to minimum both in patients with absolute and in those with relative indications for operation.
