INTERACTION OF PRIMORDIAL GRAVITATIONAL WAVES WITH GROUPS OF GALAXIES

摘要：
Two processes whereby very long wavelength gravitational waves may cumulatively feed energy into a cluster of galaxies during its lifetime are considered, and found to be unimportant. The only potentially observable manifestation of primordial gravitational radiation is the velocity dispersion induced by waves currently interacting with groups of galaxies, as discussed in an earlier paper by the present author. © 1972 Royal Astronomical Society.
