摘要：
Until recently the Bible played a significant role in folk medicine and its application to animal health, especially with respect to medical superstition cloaked in religion. Using an 1865 edition of the Bible, the belief in sorcery and medical witchcraft in both the Old and New Testaments and the Apocrypha is discussed Although medical and veterinary aspects are clearly marginal, the Holy Bible contains more references to medical matters than is generally assumed.
