A STUDY ON WATER-VAPOR FOR TROPOSPHERIC RADIOWAVE PROPAGATION OVER THE INDIAN SUBCONTINENT

摘要
An attempt has been made to quantify the water vapour morphology over the different regions of the Indian cubcontinent in different periods. The water vapour density (g/m3) for various fixed levels, water vapour density height profiles and total water vapour content (g/m2) for specific regions of the country have been estimated. The estimations are based on the radiosonde data obtained from the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The results obtained are purported to show the average conditions in a month or a season. The effect of water vapour density on the ducting gradients is also discussed.
