摘要
Transport properties of the v=1/2 state in the presence of tunneling between layers has been investigated. Tunneling induces a resonance pole in the interlayer compressibility. As a result, the v=1/2 state collapses at temperatures that are of the order of the hopping parameter between the layers. In the absence of tunneling one finds that the density response function for the compressible v=1/2 state has two different diffusion poles corresponding to a symmetric and an antisymmetric mode.
