THE DEVELOPING MODELS OF SOCIAL-WORK EDUCATION IN CHINA

This paper examines the implications of Chinese culture, economic reform, political system and western social work theory for Chinese social work education, and presents a developing model of social work education in China. It suggests that social work education in China should focus on the practical and theoretical problems arising from the ongoing reforms of the economy and political system. Chinese social work education, to develop and mature, should take the path of integration with China's social practice.
