摘要：
Growth of G. acerosa was better in hormone (IAA, GA and Kinetin) supplemented medium as compared to pretreatment of plants with hormone. Hormones stimulated dry weight and total C, H and N contents of the alga. The gel strength and yield of agar were not affected by hormone treatment.
