摘要
Froth-flotation extraction, a variety of flotation extraction of dissolved substances, is proposed for extracting metals from solutions. The process is based on liquid extraction of the target component with subsequent phase separation by froth flotation. The basic characteristics of froth-flotation extraction of copper, zinc, and nickel with solutions of naphthenic acid in kerosene were investigated. The character of the effect of the pH on the froth-flotation extraction constant of the metals was determined. The special features of using froth-flotation extraction in the corresponding flotation-extraction technology, recommended for introduction in a chemical plant, were demonstrated in extraction of copper and zinc from industrial solutions.
