摘要
Study of particulate formation during heavy fuel oil combustion. Two complementary tools have been used for the purpose of studying residual fuel oil combustion and particulate formation : a cenosphere generator, which reproduces the fast pyrolysis of residual fuel droplets, and a thermogravimetric analyser, which characterises the reactivity of the previously produced cenospheres to oxygen. This combination of techniques leads to the definition of two criteria for the residual fuel combustion. It is successfully applied to the study of the quality of fuels from different origins, to the survey of fuel quality as produced in refineries, and to the analysis of the effects of anti-particulate additives.
