Influence of SiCN(H) coatings on corrosion behaviour of stainless steel S30403 and S32404 in Ringer's solution

摘要
This paper presents results of study the corrosion behavior of stainless steels (S30403, S32404) with SiCN(H) coatings in Ringer's solution at temperature of 37 degrees C. Coatings were prepared by PACVD using gas mixtures contains: CH4, N-2, SiH4. Corrosion behavior of the samples were studied on the base of polarisation curves LSV (linear sweep voltammetry), chemical analysis of the corrosion medium using atomic adsorption spectroscope (AAS) and surface analysis by use scanning electron microscope (SEM/EDS). The coated surfaces showed a better ability to passivation compared to unmodified ones. Level of increasing corrosion resistance depends of grade of the steel.
