摘要
The author studies the stability of an equilibrium position under zero gravity of a liquid set in a container of revolution when the free surface is a circular cylinder with the same axis, and its small oscillations about this position. The problem is reduced to a functional equation in a suitable Hilbert space. Using methods of functional analysis, the author analysis, the author gives sufficient conditions of stability and proves the existence of eigenfrequencies.
