摘要
Although the Index of Peer Relations (IPR) has been designed for use with adolescent and adult clients, previous evaluations of this prominent measurement device have been conducted with exclusively adult samples. Consequently, there are no available empirical guidelines for the use of this prominent measure with teenaged clients. The present study, therefore, evaluates the reliability and validity of the IPR with a sample of clinical and nonclinical adolescents. The results of the evaluation of the IPR's internal consistency, concurrent criterion validity, and construct validity strongly support the use of this instrument with this younger population. However, further examination of prescribed clinical cutting points is recommended for the IPR.
