摘要
In the field of Science Education, the "day-to-day" and "contextualizing" reasonings are present in several Brazilian formative projects and documents as indicators of citizenship-oriented teaching. However, due to its excessive use, the word "citizenship" has become hollow in its meaning, moving away from concerns regarding intercultural issues. Thus, this piece brings the concept of "cosmopolitan Citizenship" present in the work of philosopher Adela Cortina and makes the following statement: Science Education, tied to Human Rights Education, allows for the articulation between scientific subjects and irrevocable social values, contributing to the formation of citizens of the world.
