摘要:
The linear time evolution of axisymmetric perturbations in a time-dependent Z-pinch equilibrium is studied using a one-dimensional linearized initial value code. A critical Lundquist number of the order of 50-100 is found, below which the pinch is stable. This result may account for the enhanced stability of recent deuterium fiber pinch experiments. © 1989 American Institute of Physics.
