SPATIALLY DEPENDENT SCREENING CALCULATION OF BINDING-ENERGIES OF HYDROGENIC IMPURITY STATES IN GAAS-(GA,AL)AS QUANTUM-WELL WIRES

摘要：

Using a variational procedure within the effective-mass approximation, we found that spatially dependent screening increases the binding energies of shallow hydrogenic impurity states in GaAs-(Ga,A1)As quantum-well wires. These energies are higher than those found when constant screening is used.
