摘要
The article considers the characteristics of the legal socialization of the youth in the contemporary Russian society, the specific functions of the basic institutions of legal socialization, and among them, first of all, the family, education (secondary and higher) and media. The authors define legal socialization as an aspect of general socialization process; that is why it is strongly influenced by social (transformation) processes, particularly of crisis-negative character. The youth is the most sensitive to social changes demographic group, so its basic features today are social disorientation and psychological confusion under the unstable and contradictory social situation. The article considers different aspects of legal socialization - its types (socially controlled/regulated and spontaneous), determining factors (for example, the state of society - stable or, on the contrary, crisis), possible outcomes (positive, such as competent legal consciousness, and negative - sustainable delinquent practices), etc. The authors believe that efficient legal socialization under the crisis conditions of the contemporary Russian society can be achieved by coordinating efforts of all basic institutions of legal socialization within the educational system so as the younger generations would positively perceive the law and other elements of the legal system.
